ABOUT THE MOTOROLA I730 CONFIGURATION FILES FOR OPENWAVE PHONE SIMULATOR 4.1.1 This document describes how to install and use the accompanying configuration files with with Openwave(tm) Phone Simulator 4.1.1 to emulate a Motorola i730 mobile phone running Openwave Mobile Browser version 4.1. (Openwave Phone Simulator 4.1.1 is also called "UP.SDK" and "UP.Simulator" in the simulator software itself.) For more information about Openwave Phone Simulators, the Openwave Mobile Browser, and a host of other information and support for developers, visit the Openwave Developer Network, at http://developer.openwave.com INSTALLING THE i730 CONFIGURATION FILES To emulate the Motorola i730 with these files, you first need to download and install Openwave Phone Simulator 4.1.1, which is available for free from the Openwave Developer Network, at: http://developer.openwave.com/dvl/tools_and_sdk/openwave_mobile_sdk/phone_simulator/phone-simulator-41.htm Then you can install the two Motorola i730 configuration files that are included with this readme file: * Copy i730.pho into C:\Program Files\Openwave\UPSDK411\configs * Copy i730.bmp into C:\Program Files\Openwave\UPSDK411\configs\res You may have to adjust the paths in these instructions if you didn't install the simulator in the default location. USING THE i730 CONFIGURATION FILES Once you've installed the configuration files, you can start the simulator and emulate the i730. 1. Start Openwave Phone Simulator by choosing the Windows command: Start > Programs > UPSDK411 > UP.Simulator 4.1.1. 2. Choose the simulator's Start > Open Configuration command, and in the Open Configuration File dialog, select i730.pho and click Open. The i730 replaces the previous configuration file used by the simluator.
