System requirements
UP.SDK system and network requirements depend on the UP.SDK functionality you use. The following basic requirements apply to most developers:
- To run the UP.Simulator, you need a computer with an Intel (or compatible) processor running Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 (or later).
- To test HDML services available on the Internet (such as the example services provided by Unwired Planet), your computer must have an Internet connection.
- To test your own HDML services, you need an HTTP-compliant Web server.
IMPORTANT
To use the Unicode character set on the UP.Simulator, your computer must be running Windows NT; it will not work on Windows 95. To use the Shift-JIS character set, your computer must be running Win95-J or Win-NT-J.
