To install the UP.SDK on Windows:
Download the UP.SDK from the Openwave Developer Web site.
Double-click the downloaded .exe file.
Respond to the InstallShield prompts until the installation is complete.
The UP.SDK installation program does the following:
Installs the UP.SDK files in the directory you specify (the default install directory is \Program Files\Openwave\Upsdk41).
Adds a program group and icons for the UP.SDK and the UP.Simulator.
Adds an UP.SDK 4.1 menu on the Start>Programs menu.
To uninstall the UP.SDK, use the Windows Add/Remove Programs utility as follows:
Choose Settings>Control Panel from the Start menu.
Double-click the Add/Remove Programs utility.
Double-click UP.SDK, then confirm that you want to uninstall.
IMPORTANT Deleting the UP.SDK files manually does not completely uninstall it. Like all Windows programs, installing the UP.SDK creates entries in the registry--the only way to remove these entries is to follow the procedure above or use the Windows Regedit utility.
